About the Program
Academic
The SquashDrive academic program focuses on individualized homework help and academic enrichment. We plan to make it educational and fun at the same time!
Athletic
Team members participate in SquashDrive activities three hours a day, three days a week throughout the school year. The squash program consists of on-court instruction and practices. Nutrition and fitness will also be an important part of the program.
Community Service
The SquashDrive community service program is still being developed. The program will provide our students the opportunity to build community pride and involvement through a range of volunteer outings. Each SquashDrive team member will participate in a minimum of ten hours of community service per year.
School
SquashDrive is partnering with an elementary school in downtown Oakland and will be working with 4th and 5th graders.
Facility
One day a week practice will be held at Club One in Downtown Oakland. The other two practices will be held at University at California Berkeley's Recreational Sports Facility.
